Volunteering at the EVSC

Volunteer opportunities abound within the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation. Below is a list of activities volunteers can participate in at our schools. Contact any EVSC school for more opportunities and for dates and times.




  • Read to students



  • Serve as math, reading, or writing tutors



  • Assist at popcorn days at elementary schools



  • Help teachers design classroom and bulletin boards



  • Speak to classes about educational background and career



  • Visit with students during lunch and recess time



  • Volunteer at the PTA Clothing Bank at Washington Middle School



  • Join the Parent/Teacher Association (PTA/PTSA)



  • Participate in job shadowing



  • Chaperone field trips



Steps To Arranging a Volunteer Opportunity


    1. Have an application to volunteer on file at the office of Human Resources.

    2.  Complete the Volunteer Application.

    3.  Contact the school(s) of your choice or Michelle Williams at 435-0918.
